6 ft Cat 8 Shielded Ethernet Cable

This 6 ft black Cat 8 patch cord uses shielded twisted-pair construction with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. It is rated for 40 Gbps bandwidth and 2000 MHz frequency, making it suitable for high-speed LAN or WAN links in home and office networks. The flat, UV-resistant PVC jacket is waterproof and designed for indoor or outdoor routing.

Check connector type and length before ordering

Verify that both endpoints use standard RJ45 ports and that a 6 ft run reaches between your router, switch, modem, console or PC without strain. The flat profile eases passage under carpets or through door seams, but ensure the path avoids sharp bends or pinch points that could damage the shielding.

Suits gamers and streamers needing a short.

This cable fits users who want a compact, interference-resistant connection for gaming consoles, streaming boxes or desktop PCs at up to 40 Gbps. Buyers who need longer runs, in-wall rated cabling or bulk spools for structured wiring should look at other products.

Questions about this item

Does the 6 ft black Cat 8 cable come ready to plug in, or do I need to buy RJ45 connectors separately?

The cable has gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends, so it works straight out of the box with no extra parts required.

Should I choose the flat Cat 8 design over a round Cat 7 cable for a 40 Gbps home network?

The flat Cat 8 cable supports 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps speeds, outperforming Cat 7 while the flat profile makes it easier to route under carpets and through door seams.

What does the 40 Gbps rating actually deliver when the cable is connected to my router and gaming console?

The 40 Gbps headline speed is the maximum theoretical throughput; real-world transfer rates depend on your router, network card and ISP plan, but the shielded Cat 8 construction minimises interference so you get the fullest performance your hardware allows.
