A 3.3 ft Cat8 patch cable with S/FTP shielding, 26 AWG conductors and gold-plated RJ45 connectors rated for 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz
The HANNORD Cat8 patch cable delivers 40 Gbps throughput at 2000 MHz bandwidth over a 3.3 ft run. Shielded foiled twisted-pair construction with 26 AWG solid copper conductors suppresses EMI and crosstalk for stable links in gaming, streaming or server environments. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts rated at 50 micron ensure low-resistance connections. The UV-resistant PVC jacket is rated for indoor and outdoor installation.
As a passive copper cable the assembly generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws no power of its own. The quadruple shielding eliminates external interference without active components. Signal integrity is maintained entirely by the 26 AWG conductors and S/FTP geometry. No external power supply or cooling is required.
The cable replaces Cat5, Cat6 or Cat7 links where 25GBASE-T or 40GBASE-T speeds are now needed. The jump is worthwhile when switch ports, NICs or server backplanes support 25 Gbps or 40 Gbps signalling and the existing cabling limits throughput. For 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps endpoints the higher category provides no measurable benefit.

Route the 0.8 mm PVC jacket without sharp bends, then press each 50-micron gold RJ45 until the latch clicks; the step often missed is verifying the click on both ends to guarantee 2000 MHz shielding continuity.
Inspect the black PVC jacket annually for cracks from sun exposure; replace the cable if the 26AWG copper conductors or gold-plated contacts show corrosion that could drop 40 Gbps throughput.
The 2000 MHz bandwidth ceiling is reached before the 26AWG conductors overheat, so aggregate throughput cannot exceed 40 Gbps even with the quadruple S/FTP shielding.
