This new HANNORD DisplayPort 2.1 cable runs 6.6 ft and carries 80 Gbps total bandwidth over four UHBR20 lanes. It meets the DP 2.1 specification and remains backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.4, 1.3, 1.2 and earlier versions. The double nylon braided jacket and aluminium alloy shells are rated for over 10,000 bend cycles.

For 16K, 8K high refresh or dual 4K 144 Hz setups

Builders driving a single 16K display at 60 Hz, an 8K panel at 120 Hz or two 4K monitors at 144 Hz uncompressed will use the full UHBR20 link. Systems limited to HBR3 or earlier DisplayPort versions cannot reach these modes, so the cable would operate at the lower standard instead. Buyers whose monitors and graphics cards top out at 4K 60 Hz do not need this bandwidth.

80 Gbps UHBR20 bandwidth decides the fit

The cable delivers 80 Gbps through UHBR20 signalling across four lanes, enabling 16K at 60 Hz with DSC, 8K at 120 Hz and dual 4K at 144 Hz without compression. If the source and sink both support UHBR20 the link runs at full speed; otherwise it falls back to the highest rate both ends share. No other spec in the data changes that outcome.
