HANNORD DisplayPort 1.2 cable 6 ft
This 6 ft DisplayPort 1.2 cable links a DP-equipped computer to a monitor or projector with a male-to-male connection. Gold-plated connectors, bare copper conductors and foil-plus-braid shielding protect signal integrity. A latched plug with a release button prevents accidental disconnection during use.
Practical limits of DisplayPort 1.2
The cable carries up to 4K at 60 Hz and reaches 144 Hz or 165 Hz at 2560×1440 resolution. Audio passes through uncompressed in 7.1, 5.1 or stereo formats. Bandwidth above those resolution and refresh combinations is not supported by the 1.2 standard used here.
Upgrades from older DP cables or HDMI links
Replacing a DisplayPort 1.1 cable removes the 1080p ceiling and enables 4K 60 Hz or high-refresh 1440p gaming. Swapping an HDMI 1.4 connection adds the locking latch and the higher 1440p refresh rates. The jump matters when your monitor and GPU both support 1.2 features.

Questions about this item
Should I choose this 6 ft cable or look for a different length?
The 6 ft length suits typical desk-to-monitor distances; if your display sits further away you will need a longer cable.
What does the 4K@60Hz figure mean once the cable is plugged in?
It means the link can carry a 4K signal at 60 frames per second, the maximum resolution and refresh rate this cable is rated for.
How does the DisplayPort 1.2 interface cap the refresh rate at 2K resolution?
At 2560×1440 the cable supports up to 165 Hz, which is the highest refresh rate the 1.2 bandwidth allows for that resolution.
