Portable SATA to USB 3.0 Adapter

This HANNORD cable connects a 2.5-inch SATA solid-state or hard drive to a USB 3.0 port on a laptop or desktop. It provides a lightweight, plug-and-play method to add external storage, migrate data or clone drives without installing the drive inside an enclosure. No drivers are required for operation.

Upgrade From Internal Drive Bays

The adapter replaces the need to open a laptop chassis or use a drive dock when you only need temporary access to a bare 2.5-inch SATA drive. It is worth using when you want to retrieve files from an old drive, create disk images or back up data without a permanent installation. A 3.5-inch SATA hard drive requires a separate 12V 2A power adapter with a 5.5 by 2.1mm DC jack, which is not included.

USB 3.0 and UASP Performance Limits

The interface delivers up to 5Gbps signalling, and UASP support can yield up to 70 percent faster throughput than standard USB 3.0 bulk endpoints when the host controller also supports UASP. Actual speed depends on the drive capabilities and the host port implementation. Thunderbolt 3 is not supported, so higher bandwidths available on that interface cannot be reached.
