8MP Outdoor Dome Camera

The Hanwha Techwin QNV-C9011R is an 8MP network dome camera built for outdoor surveillance. It captures 4K video at 3840x2160 resolution and 30fps using a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor with a 3.0mm fixed focal lens. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by carrying data and power on a single cable. The housing meets IP66, IK10 and NEMA4X ratings for dust, water and vandal resistance.

Fixed Lens and Storage Slot

The 3.0mm fixed focal lens sets a permanent field of view, so installers must position the camera for the desired coverage during mounting. A micro SD/SDHC/SDXC slot supports cards up to 256GB for local recording without a separate recorder. H.265, H.264 and MJPEG compression options let users balance bandwidth and storage needs. Day/night switching with ICR and 120dB WDR handle strong backlight automatically.

Suited for Fixed-Angle Sites

This model suits sites that need a single, tamper-resistant camera with a set viewing angle and PoE convenience. It is less suited for buyers who need motorised zoom or varifocal adjustment after installation. Users requiring more than 256GB of onboard storage or multiple lens options should look at other form factors. The operating range of -40°C to +55°C covers most exposed locations.

Questions about this item

How often should the microSD card be replaced if recording continuously at 8MP 30fps?

The camera supports a single microSD/SDHC/SDXC slot up to 256GB; card lifespan depends on write cycles, so plan replacement when health monitoring shows wear.

What limits continuous 4K 30fps recording first — heat, storage or bandwidth?

Operating range is -40°C to +55°C and the H.265/H.264/MJPEG codecs with up to 5 streaming profiles manage bandwidth, so storage capacity on the 256GB card is the practical limit.

How loud is the fan and how hot does the aluminium dome get during all-day PoE operation?

The spec lists no fan; the IP66/IK10/NEMA4X aluminium housing passively dissipates heat within the -40°C to +55°C range while powered via PoE.
