The Hanwha Techwin XRN-1620SB1 is a network video recorder that supports up to 16 camera channels and 32MP resolution per channel. It provides 16 built-in PoE ports so each camera receives power and data through a single cable. The unit ships with a 2TB hard drive installed and accepts up to 24TB of total internal storage.

Sustained 140Mbps recording throughput

The recorder writes incoming streams at a maximum of 140Mbps and plays back at up to 32Mbps using H.265, H.264 or MJPEG compression. WiseStream dual-stream recording optimises bandwidth and storage consumption during continuous operation. Automatic Recovery Backup switches recording to a spare drive if the primary SATA disk fails, keeping the system running without interruption.

Four fixed SATA bays and dual video outputs

Four internal SATA bays hold the drives that deliver the 24TB capacity ceiling, and the ARB function uses one bay as a live spare. Video output is available through HDMI and VGA connectors for local monitoring at 4K resolution. Two RJ-45 network interfaces separate camera traffic from the management network, while the 16 PoE ports handle plug-and-play camera connection.
