Aquarium and Refrigerator Monitoring
This digital thermometer uses a waterproof external sensor on a 59in cord to measure remote locations. The main unit displays temperature only on a wide LCD and is not water resistant. It suits freshwater aquariums, terrariums, refrigerators and freezers.
Magnet and Suction Cup Mounting
A magnet on the back secures the unit to metal fridge or freezer doors. The included suction cup lets you fix the sensor probe inside tanks or compartments. One AAA battery is supplied so the device works immediately.
Temperature Range and Accuracy Limits
The sensor reads from -40 to 158°F with ±1°C accuracy between 32 and 158°F. Resolution is 0.1° and the display updates every 10 seconds. The unit lacks humidity measurement, comfort indicators and seawater suitability.

Questions about this item
How often will the AAA battery need replacing with the 10-second measurement interval?
The thermometer updates every 10 seconds using the included AAA battery; typical coin-cell life in similar devices runs several months to a year depending on temperature extremes.
At what point does the ±1 °C accuracy limit become the main source of error during continuous monitoring?
Accuracy is specified as ±1 °C between 0 °C and 70 °C; outside that range the tolerance is not defined, so sustained use below freezing or above 70 °C introduces unquantified error first.
Does the main unit generate noticeable heat or noise when left running all day on the refrigerator?
The LCD display and sensor circuit draw minimal power from the AAA cell, producing no audible noise and negligible heat during continuous operation.
