Taper Chamfer Constraint

The taper chamfer requires several turns at full diameter before the thread form is complete. Through-holes shorter than the 1 1/16 inch thread length will not reach full profile. Blind holes need extra depth beyond the marked thread length to accommodate the incomplete lead threads.

H3 Thread Limit

The H3 thread limit defines the pitch diameter tolerance for the insert thread. Select this tap only when the engineering drawing or insert specification calls for an H3 class fit. A different limit will produce threads that are too tight or too loose for the intended Helicoil insert.
