Helix Security HLX-IP5M-B102EW-AI 5MP PoE bullet network camera

5MP PoE bullet camera with human detection

This 5MP PoE bullet network camera is designed for outdoor surveillance where reliable person detection and colour night vision are required. It records at 5MP resolution and 20 frames per second through a 93.2° viewing angle with an F2.0 aperture and a 1/3" image sensor. The IP66-rated metal housing protects the unit in exposed locations, while built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio. A PoE injector or switch is needed to power the device.

PoE power and H.264 storage limits

The camera must receive power over Ethernet from a compatible injector or switch, which is not supplied with the unit. Video is compressed using H.264, which limits storage efficiency compared with newer codecs but ensures broad compatibility with NVRs, NAS devices, PCs, FTP, SFTP and the AMLINK Pro app. Local recording supports MicroSD cards up to 256GB, and optional cloud storage is available for off-site backup. Firmware updates are delivered regularly to maintain security and feature support.

98ft colour night vision range

Dual illumination combines a white LED for full-colour night vision up to 98.4ft with traditional IR for longer-range monochrome viewing in complete darkness. This range determines whether the camera can cover the intended perimeter without additional lighting. Buyers who need identification beyond that distance or who require a wider field of view than 93.2° should consider alternative models.
