Hetai Tech AHD Mini CCTV Camera 5MP

The Hetai Tech AHD Mini CCTV Camera captures 5MP video at 25 frames per second using the PAL signal system. It uses a Sony IMX326 sensor and a fixed 12mm focal length lens housed in a metal body with a mounting bracket. This compact infrared camera suits installers needing a small analogue high-definition unit for standard definition cabling.

Practical limits of the AHD interface

The analogue high-definition signal requires compatible DVR equipment and coaxial cabling to transmit the 5MP feed. The fixed 12mm focus sets a narrow field of view that cannot be adjusted after installation. Buyers who need motorised zoom, wider angles, or IP network streaming should consider alternative camera types.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 5 MP 25 FPS PAL version or a lower-resolution option?

The 5 MP 25 FPS PAL model uses the IMX326 sensor and a fixed 12 mm lens, giving sharper detail than the 4 MP or 1080p choices while keeping the same frame rate and signal standard.

What does the 12 mm focal length mean for the field of view once the camera is mounted?

A 12 mm lens on the IMX326 sensor produces a narrow angle, so distant objects appear larger but the scene width is reduced compared with wider lenses.
