Product and audience

The Hiacry CX-MLD-8P is an eight-pack of gel pens with a .7 mm fine point and Morandi colour ink. The set suits students, journal keepers and office workers who want a variety of smooth-writing colours for notes, planners or sketches.

Installation and common issues

Each pen is sealed with a wax cap that must be removed before first use. The pocket clip includes a rolling ball fidget; forcing the clip onto thick binders can damage the mechanism, so attach it gently to standard notebook pockets.

Practical limits of the gel ink standard

Gel ink lays down a wetter line than ballpoint ink, so very thin or glossy paper may show feathering or bleed-through. The quick-dry formulation reduces smudging for left-handed writers, but drying time still varies with paper absorbency and humidity.

Questions about this item

Write a few lines; the CS Twin-ball tip should glide with consistent ink flow and no skipping, and the quick-dry ink should not smudge for left-handed writing.

The box contains eight gel pens with Morandi colour ink, rubberised grips, pocket clips with rolling ball fidgets, and 2,296 ft ink reservoirs; just remove the sealing wax and write.

Which colour option should I choose for journaling and sketching?

The Morandi Color Ink 8-piece set provides a soft, minimalist palette suited for planners, creative sketches and daily notes.
