Cellular Security Camera for Off-Grid Sites

This HISION camera connects over 4G LTE instead of Wi-Fi so it can monitor remote properties, construction sites or holiday homes where no broadband exists. A bundled SIM card works on Verizon AT&T and T-Mobile networks. The pan range reaches 355° horizontally and 90° vertically for near-360° coverage.

Solar Battery Runtime and Thermal Behaviour

An 8000mAh battery supplies two to three days of operation on a full charge and a few hours of sunlight replenishes it for 24hrs of continuous use. The white outdoor housing dissipates heat passively without fans so the unit runs silently in normal conditions. No mains wiring is required for power.

Mounting Kit and Local Storage Slot

The package includes one camera with mounting hardware so installation can start immediately. A micro SD slot allows local video recording without a cloud subscription. Two-way audio and colour night vision at 2304×1296P resolution extend the camera’s usefulness after dark.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the solar panel so the 8000mAh battery actually keeps the camera running?

Face the panel toward the equator at an angle roughly equal to your latitude and keep it clear of shade; a few hours of direct sun each day will top up the battery for continuous 24‑hour operation.

What part will need replacement first — the battery or the SD card?

The sealed 8000mAh lithium cell is not user‑replaceable; plan to swap the micro‑SD card when it fills or after a couple of years of constant writes.

Which mechanical limit will I hit first if I run the pan‑tilt continuously?

The horizontal sweep stops at 355° and the vertical tilt at 90°, so the motors reach their hard stops before any thermal or duty‑cycle limit appears.
