Ultra-short-throw 3LCD projector

The Hitachi CP-AW2519N is a new ultra-short-throw 3LCD projector designed for interactive home-theatre use. Its wide throw angle lets you place the unit centimetres from the screen, making it practical for small rooms where ceiling mounting is impossible. Interactive pen support and multi-OS compatibility suit families and casual presenters who want touch-style control without a separate whiteboard.

1280 x 800 native resolution and 2500 ANSI lumens

The panel delivers a native 1280 x 800 image with a quoted 2000:1 contrast ratio. At 2500 ANSI lumens the picture stays visible with some ambient light, but dark-room contrast will look limited compared to higher-contrast technologies. The 1024 x 768 fallback mode covers legacy sources, yet fine detail in 1080p material is downscaled rather than shown pixel-for-pixel.

HDMI, dual VGA, USB, LAN and RS-232 ports

Two VGA inputs, HDMI, composite, S-Video, twin USB ports, RJ-45 LAN and an RS-232 DB-9 connector cover most legacy and current sources. Built-in speakers and keystone correction simplify placement, while the supplied remote handles basic navigation. Buyers who need wireless screen mirroring, Bluetooth audio or a brighter image for well-lit living rooms should look elsewhere.
