HITACHI CP-EX252N 3LCD home theater projector 2700 lumens

Hitachi CP-EX252N 3LCD projector

The Hitachi CP-EX252N is a 3LCD home-theatre projector with a native 1024 x 768 XGA resolution and 2700 ANSI lumens brightness. It suits conference rooms and classrooms that need a medium-throw installation and network control via RJ-45 LAN or RS-232. The unit includes built-in speakers and closed-captioning support for accessibility. It is not for buyers who require full 1080p native resolution or higher contrast for dark-room cinema.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The projector operates at a typical 2700 ANSI lumens with a 2000:1 contrast ratio, delivering readable images in lit rooms without excessive lamp heat. Fan noise remains at a level suitable for quiet presentations, and the 3LCD engine maintains stable colour output during extended sessions. Power draw scales with the selected brightness mode, allowing lower consumption for less demanding content. No specific decibel or wattage figures are provided by the supplier.

Bundled accessories and software impact

The package provides HDMI, VGA, composite RCA, USB-B, audio mini-jack in and out, plus RJ-45 LAN and RS-232 DB-9 connectors for integration with Crestron RoomView management. These interfaces let IT staff schedule power cycles, monitor lamp hours and push configuration changes remotely. Built-in speakers remove the need for external audio in small rooms, while colour-correction and ceiling-projection modes simplify setup. No wireless streaming or proprietary content platforms are included.
