Business projector for office presentations

The Hitachi CP-DX301 is a DLP projector rated at 3000 ANSI lumens with a native 1024 x 768 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. It accepts 1080p input through HDMI and offers a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Weighing 5.1 lbs, it supports ceiling, rear and table-top mounting for flexible installation in meeting rooms.

Suited for fixed installs with legacy sources

This unit suits offices that still rely on VGA, composite or S-Video connections alongside HDMI. The RS-232 port enables integration with control systems for automated operation. Buyers who need native widescreen resolution, wireless casting or built-in networking should look at other models because those features are not present.

Check your source resolution and mount hardware

Verify that your laptop or media player can output 1024 x 768 or scale 1080p cleanly to the 4:3 native panel. Confirm the ceiling or wall structure can support 5.1 lbs and that you have the correct bracket, as none is included. Ensure an HDMI or VGA cable reaches the mounting location, because only a power cable and HDMI cable are bundled.

Questions about this item

What video source do I need to supply the CP-DX301's native 1024 x 768 resolution?

Connect a computer or media player that outputs XGA 1024 x 768 over VGA or HDMI; the projector will display that signal pixel-for-pixel without scaling.

Can I keep using my older VGA-only laptop with this projector?

Yes, the CP-DX301 includes a VGA input, so a legacy laptop with only a 15-pin D-Sub port will work directly without an adapter.

How do I confirm the 3000 ANSI lumen brightness is being delivered after installation?

Project a full-white test pattern in a darkened room; the image should appear visibly bright and uniform, matching the rated 3000 ANSI lumen specification.
