Ready-to-install lamp module

The Hitachi HCP-U32N is a complete 215 W projector lamp assembly supplied with a new Philips UHP bulb already mounted in its housing. It is designed for technicians or owners who need a direct replacement that requires no additional assembly before fitting.

Fixed 215 W power draw

The lamp operates at a single rated wattage of 215 W, so the projector’s power supply and cooling must match that exact figure. No dimming or alternative power modes are offered by the lamp itself; brightness and longevity are governed solely by the projector’s normal and economy settings.

2 000 to 3 000 hours of use

In normal mode the lamp delivers approximately 2 000 hours of service, while the projector’s economy mode extends that to around 3 000 hours. Beyond those limits light output drops and the risk of sudden failure rises, so a replacement should be planned once the hour counter approaches the upper figure.

Questions about this item

Which HCP-U32N version should I choose — OEM direct from Philips, Hitachi-sold OEM, alternative OEM or compatible?

The OEM direct from Philips matches the original bulb manufacturer, the Hitachi-sold OEM is identical but distributed by Hitachi, the alternative OEM uses a different major bulb maker, and the compatible version uses genuine OEM parts at a lower cost. All meet ISO 9001 checks.

What does the 215W rating mean once the lamp is in my projector?

It draws 215 watts of power and delivers brightness calibrated for the projectors designed around this lamp module.

What interface does the HCP-U32N use and what does it cap in practice?

It connects via the projector's proprietary lamp socket, which limits installation to Hitachi models that accept the DT01191 module.
