Four-Shelf Mahogany Bookcase

The HON 1874N is a four-shelf laminate bookcase finished in Mahogany for small office or home office storage. Its square-edge profile and hardboard back panel suit professional environments needing straightforward book and binder organisation. Adjustable leveling glides compensate for uneven floors during setup.

Capacity and Headroom

Three of the four 3/4-inch shelves adjust in 1-1/4-inch increments to accommodate varying binder heights, while the bottom shelf remains fixed for stability. The 48.80-inch height and 36.00-inch width provide generous linear storage, though the 11.50-inch depth limits use to standard books and files rather than oversized volumes.

Thermals Noise and Power

As a passive furniture piece the unit generates no heat, noise or electrical draw. Abrasion-resistant thermal-fused laminate over high-density particleboard resists daily wear, and the hardboard back adds rigidity without mechanical components. Cam-lock fasteners and wood dowels simplify assembly without power tools.

Questions about this item

Will the 1874N bookcase sit level on an uneven floor alongside my older desk?

Four adjustable leveling glides let you compensate for floor irregularities so the unit stands stable next to existing furniture.

How can I confirm the shelves are securely set after assembly?

Each adjustable shelf locks into 1-1/4" increment holes; when the cam-lock fasteners and wood dowels are fully seated the shelves hold firm without wobble.

Does the box include the hardboard back panel and all hardware, or must I buy anything extra?

The carton contains the laminate panels, hardboard back, four shelves, cam-lock fasteners, wood dowels and four leveling glides — no additional parts are required.
