Right-hand return unit

The HON P3235RNS Metro Classic return attaches to a matching desk to form an L-shaped workstation. It measures 42.00" wide by 24.00" deep with a 29.50" high laminate top in Mahogany and Charcoal. A single right-hand pedestal holds one box drawer and one full-suspension file drawer. The steel frame includes grommets for cable routing and a modesty panel for privacy.

For offices extending a Metro Classic desk

This return suits buyers who already own or are ordering the coordinating HON Metro Classic L-workstation desk and need the right-side extension. It is not freestanding, so it cannot be used alone or paired with unrelated desks. Buyers who want a standalone desk, a left-hand return, or a different finish should look at other models.

Check desk compatibility and space

Verify you have the matching Metro Classic desk in Mahogany/Charcoal before ordering, as the return is designed only for that series. Ensure the room can accommodate the combined footprint of desk plus the 42.00" return depth. Confirm the right-hand pedestal orientation matches your layout and that the 29.50" height aligns with your existing worksurface.

Questions about this item

Which desk must I already own for this return to attach and function?

It requires the HON Metro Classic Series L Workstation Desk in Mahogany/Charcoal; the return is not freestanding and both pieces are sold separately.

Will the 24.00-inch depth match the depth of my existing Metro Classic desk for a flush L-shape?

Yes, the return depth is 24.00 inches, matching the Metro Classic desk depth so the worksurfaces align without a step.

How do I confirm the full-suspension file drawer and grommets are operating correctly after assembly?

Load the file drawer with hanging folders — it should glide fully open on its suspension slides — and route cables through the grommets to verify the openings are clear and aligned.
