Hotai 12 MP USB 2.0 Webcam

The Hotai webcam delivers 1280 x 720 video at 30 fps through a USB 2.0 connection. It uses a CMOS sensor with 3 M effective pixels and an auto-focus glass lens. The built-in omnidirectional microphone captures stereo audio. It suits home-office workers and casual streamers who need a simple plug-in camera for video calls.

Driverless setup with adjustable mounting

The camera works without driver installation on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Mac OS. A 140 cm cable reaches rear ports on most desktops. The clip base rotates up and down 30 degrees for angle adjustment on monitors or laptop lids. Auto white balance and colour correction handle lighting changes without user input.

Steady 720p output during long calls

The USB 2.0 interface sustains the 1280 x 720 30 fps stream without frame drops during extended meetings. Dynamic resolution can fall back to 640 x 480 if bandwidth tightens. The 130 g body stays stable on its mount. No active cooling is present, so the sensor temperature rises gradually but remains within normal operating limits for the CMOS chip.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 1280 x 720 video is running at 30 fps after I plug the USB 2.0 webcam in?

Open your video-calling app, start a preview and check the settings panel — it should show 1280 x 720 at 30 fps; the image should look smooth with no stutter.

What comes in the box and do I need a separate microphone or driver disc?

The package includes the webcam with a 140 cm USB 2.0 cable and an integrated omnidirectional microphone; no extra microphone or driver disc is required.

Should I choose the 12.0 M pixel mode or the 640 x 480 dynamic resolution for clearer calls?

Use the 1280 x 720 setting — it delivers the highest supported resolution at 30 fps, while 640 x 480 is a lower fallback mode.
