Jetson Orin 8 MP IMX219 Camera Module

This camera module uses a 1/4-inch Sony IMX219 sensor with eight effective megapixels. It connects to NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and AGX Orin developer kits through a MIPI CSI-2 interface using I2C control. Fixed-focus optics with a 3.04 mm focal length provide a 62.2-degree horizontal and 48.8-degree vertical field of view. The unit weighs 0.009 kg and is powered directly over the I2C link.

Fixed Focus with 1080p30 and 720p60 Capture

The module captures still images up to 3280 x 2464 pixels and records video at 1920 x 1080 at 30 frames per second or 1280 x 720 at 60 frames per second. Higher-resolution modes run at 3280 x 2464 at 21 fps, 3280 x 1848 at 28 fps and 1640 x 1232 at 30 fps. An integrated IR filter limits sensitivity to visible light only. Operation is supported under JetPack SDK on Linux.

This module suits engineers adding monocular vision to Jetson Orin NX or AGX Orin platforms where autofocus is not required. Builders using standard Raspberry Pi 3, 3B+ or 4 boards cannot use this camera because the pinout and driver support differ. Users needing motorised focus, stereo pairing or guaranteed operation on third-party carrier boards should evaluate alternative modules.
