Howard Leight Leightning L2F Folding Earmuff

The Howard Leight Leightning L2F is a folding hearing earmuff designed for shooters and sports enthusiasts who need reliable noise reduction. Its steel-wire construction withstands daily use while the padded foam headband and super-soft ear cushions remove squeezing pressure for extended comfort.

27 NRR attenuation with Air Flow Control

The earmuff delivers a Noise Reduction Rating of 27, using patented Air Flow Control technology to provide optimal attenuation across all frequencies. It comfortably handles loud impulse noise from firearms and industrial environments, but runs out of headroom for extremely high-decibel sustained exposure where higher NRR values are required.

Snap-in cushions and folding frame

Snap-in ear cushions allow quick replacement for hygiene and consistent seal without tools. The folding design reduces the profile for storage in a range bag or pocket, making the earmuff ready for transport and quick deployment.

Questions about this item

Will the Leightning L2F 27 NRR earmuffs still seal properly over my existing prescription safety glasses?

The padded foam headband and super-soft ear cushions are designed to eliminate squeezing pressure, helping maintain a consistent seal around frames without compromising the 27 NRR rating.

How can I verify the Air Flow Control attenuation is performing correctly after I put them on?

Cup both hands firmly over the ear cups while in steady noise; a noticeable drop in loudness confirms the cushions and headband are seated evenly for full broadband attenuation.

Does the R-01525 package include replacement snap-in cushions or must I buy them separately?

The earmuffs ship with the original snap-in ear cushions installed; additional cushion pairs are sold separately for maintenance.
