Product identity

The KoamTac KDC185 is a wearable 2D barcode scanner built for hands-free data capture. It suits retail associates, warehouse pickers and logistics staff who need to keep both hands free while scanning.

Capacity and headroom

The 2D imager reads common symbologies from paper labels and mobile screens. It handles typical point-of-sale and inventory volumes but is not intended for high-speed conveyor scanning or long-range reading beyond arm’s reach.

Upgrade path

This model replaces tethered handheld scanners and older 1D-only wearables where mobility is limited. The jump is worth it when workers must scan continuously while moving stock, packing orders or serving customers without putting a device down.
