HP 51642B Matte Film 36-Inch Roll

This HP 51642B matte film roll measures 36 inches wide by 125 feet long and is sold as a single roll. It is engineered for inkjet wide-format printers such as HP DesignJet models. The polyester base resists smearing and suits technical drawings, posters, banners and archive-quality originals. Brightness rating 72 delivers sharp, clear results on a white matte finish.

125-Foot Length Supports High-Volume Output

The 125-foot roll length reduces reload frequency during long print runs. A 2-inch core diameter fits standard large-format spindles without adapters. Polyester film construction provides trouble-free feeding and handling across repeated jobs. FSC-certified material meets responsible forestry requirements for professional environments.

5-Mil Thickness Determines Printer Compatibility

The 5-mil film thickness is the critical specification that decides whether your printer can handle this media. Verify that your wide-format device supports 5-mil polyester film before purchase. Printers limited to thinner bond or photo papers will not feed this roll correctly. No other specification overrides this mechanical constraint.

Questions about this item

How many 36-inch prints can I get from the 125-foot roll before it needs replacing?

The 125-foot roll length determines total output; divide 125 feet by your print length to find the number of prints per roll.

Will the 5 mil polyester film jam or curl during a long print run?

The 5 mil polyester film is engineered for trouble-free performance and resists smearing during extended printing sessions.

Does the matte film produce noticeable heat or noise when printing continuously all day?

The film itself generates no heat or noise; any sound or warmth comes from the printer mechanism, not the media.
