HP 800 G2 Mini i5-6500T Desktop

This HP 800 G2 Mini desktop PC runs an Intel Core i5-6500T at 2.50 GHz with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 480 GB SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. The compact black chassis includes front and rear USB ports, audio jacks, Gigabit LAN, VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. A monitor is not included.

Who this suits, who should look elsewhere

Suits office workers, students and home users needing a space-saving Windows 10 machine for web browsing, document editing and video playback. Not for buyers who need discrete graphics performance, greater internal storage capacity, or the ability to install full-size expansion cards.

Deciding specification: 480 GB SSD capacity

The 480 GB solid-state drive sets the total local storage available for the operating system, applications and user files. If your workload requires more space for large media libraries, databases or virtual machines, this capacity will be the limiting factor. Consider external or network storage if you need additional room.

Questions about this item

Do I need to supply my own monitor, keyboard and mouse for the HP 800 G2 Mini?

Yes — the unit ships without a screen, so you must provide a display with VGA, DisplayPort or HDMI input plus a USB keyboard and mouse.

Will my older VGA-only monitor work with the DisplayPort and HDMI outputs on this desktop?

The PC includes a native VGA port, so a legacy VGA monitor connects directly without an adapter.

How can I confirm the 16 GB DDR4 and 480 GB SSD are recognised after first boot?

Open Settings > System > About to see 16 GB installed RAM, then check File Explorer for a 480 GB C: drive.
