Outdoor 802.11ac Wave 2 access point

The AP-365 is a rugged outdoor wireless access point from the Aruba 360 Series. It is built for education, enterprise, retail, and industrial sites that need reliable Wi-Fi for mobile and IoT devices in exposed locations. The unit is fully sealed against moisture, precipitation, and airborne contaminants. Industrial surge protection covers all electrical interfaces.

Dual-radio throughput of 866 and 400 Mbps

Dual-radio operation delivers up to 866 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 400 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. MU-MIMO supports simultaneous transmission to two Wave 2 clients. The combined 1.27 Gbit/s aggregate rate covers typical outdoor density, but environments with many high-bandwidth users will exceed the two-stream limit. Buyers needing more spatial streams or higher per-client rates should look elsewhere.

JX967A part number for HPE Aruba ecosystems

The manufacturer part number JX967A identifies this specific 360 Series model for compatibility with Aruba mobility controllers and management platforms. It ensures the correct firmware image and licensing tier. Teams standardising on a different vendor architecture or requiring a non-Aruba cloud controller cannot use this unit.

Questions about this item

Will the AP-365 integrate with an existing 802.11ac Wave 2 controller and APs?

Yes, the AP-365 is an 802.11ac Wave 2 outdoor access point that works with compatible Aruba controllers and existing 360 Series APs for unified management.

How can I confirm the dual radios are delivering 866 Mbps on 5 GHz and 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz after installation?

Check the controller dashboard or AP web interface for client PHY rates; connected Wave 2 devices should show up to 866 Mbps on the 5 GHz radio and 400 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz radio when signal quality is high.

Does the JX967A ship with a PoE injector or mounting brackets, or must I order them separately?

The AP-365 unit itself is supplied; PoE injectors and outdoor mounting kits are sold separately and must be selected based on your cabling and pole or wall requirements.
