Campus Wi-Fi 6 access point

The HP Aruba AP-555 (RW) JZ356A is a wireless access point built for campus environments. It delivers Wi-Fi 6 connectivity across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands from an in-ceiling form factor. Integrated ZigBee and Bluetooth radios extend support for IoT and location services. This unified AP targets organisations deploying dense, managed wireless infrastructure.

IT teams needing ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6

Suits network administrators who require a single ceiling-mounted unit covering both wireless bands and ZigBee or Bluetooth endpoints. Organisations without a controller-based Aruba management plane or those needing outdoor-rated hardware should evaluate other options. Installations lacking ceiling access or PoE infrastructure will also need a different approach.

ZigBee and Bluetooth radios add IoT reach

The bundled ZigBee and Bluetooth interfaces let the access point serve building-automation sensors, asset tags and beacon applications without extra gateways. This consolidation reduces cabling and separate device management for smart-campus projects. No additional software licences or mounting kits are mentioned in the supplied data.
