HP Aruba AP-635 (RW) Campus Access Point

SKU CH-EXX9-GJWYS

Campus access point using the 6 GHz band via three radios, ultra tri-band filtering and dual 2.5 Gbps ethernet ports to increase capacity and eliminate coverage gaps

  • Doubled wireless capacity via 6 GHz band
  • Three dedicated radios for high-density environments
  • Ultra tri-band filtering reduces interference
  • Dual 2.5 Gbps ethernet ports for resilient backhaul
  • Enterprise-grade connectivity for bandwidth-hungry applications

Enterprise Wireless Capacity

The HP Aruba AP-635 (RW) is a campus access point built for enterprises that need more wireless capacity and wider channels. Three dedicated radios use the 6 GHz band to more than double capacity for bandwidth-hungry video, growing client and IoT device counts, and cloud workloads.

Thermals and Power

The unit draws power over Ethernet through dual 2.5 Gbps ports, avoiding a separate power supply and reducing cable clutter. Passive cooling keeps operation silent in office ceilings or wall mounts, with no moving parts to fail or generate noise.

Build and Connectivity

Ultra tri-band filtering is unique to the 630 Series and reduces interference between radios for reliable coverage. Dual 2.5 Gbps ethernet ports provide link resiliency and fast wired backhaul, while the rugged enclosure suits indoor campus deployments. Not suited for outdoor or industrial environments needing IP-rated sealing.

Questions about this item

How is the Aruba AP-635 mounted and which step is often missed?

The AP-635 is ceiling- or wall-mounted using the supplied bracket; the step often missed is locking the security Torx screw after the unit clicks into place.

What part of the AP-635 will need replacement first?

The internal fan is the only moving component; plan to replace it after several years of continuous operation.

What limit appears first when the AP-635 runs at full load for hours?

Thermal throttling engages once the chassis hits its internal temperature ceiling, reducing radio output until the unit cools.
