Front-to-back fan tray cools Aruba switches with 1.6" height and 4.2" width
The Aruba X751 is a front-to-back fan tray built for compatible Aruba network switches. It supplies directed airflow to keep chassis temperatures stable in rack-mounted environments. Network administrators use it to maintain reliable operation in dense equipment cabinets. The tray installs directly into the switch chassis without additional mounting hardware.
Air moves from the front panel to the rear exhaust, matching the standard cooling path of supported switches. The unit measures 1.6 inches high, 4.2 inches wide and 2 inches deep, weighing approximately 8 oz. Its slim profile allows installation in tight rack spaces without blocking adjacent ports or cables. Normal operation adds minimal acoustic load to the rack.
This tray replaces a failed or absent fan module in Aruba switches that accept the X751 form factor. The upgrade is worthwhile when the original tray has stopped spinning, reports errors or has been removed during maintenance. It is not suited for switches that require a different airflow direction or a larger cooling assembly. Compatibility must be confirmed against the specific switch model before purchase.

Slide the tray straight into the front fan slot until the latch clicks; the step often missed is fully seating the latch so the tray locks in place.
Periodically vacuum dust from the front intake vents; the tray has no user-serviceable bearings or filters, so replacement is only needed if a fan fails.
The 1.6-inch height and 4.2-inch width fix the airflow path; if inlet air exceeds the switch’s rated ambient range the internal thermal protection will throttle the chassis.
