HP Color LaserJet CP4025N with toner bundle

The HP Color LaserJet CP4025N is a network-ready colour laser printer supplied with a full set of generic toner cartridges. It prints both black and colour pages at up to 35 ppm with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. An 800 MHz processor handles print jobs and the standard paper input holds 600 sheets. Ethernet connectivity allows direct attachment to a wired office network.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This printer suits small workgroups that need reliable colour output on a wired network and want a ready-to-use toner bundle included. Buyers who require wireless or mobile printing, automatic duplexing, or higher monthly duty cycles should consider other models. Environments that depend on USB-only or Wi-Fi connectivity will not be served by the Ethernet-only interface.

Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T network interface

The sole network connection is a wired Ethernet port supporting 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T speeds. This determines whether the printer can join your existing network infrastructure without additional adapters. If your layout demands Wi-Fi, USB direct printing or a second network port, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I install the HP Color LaserJet CP4025N on a wired network, and what step is often missed?

Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port, power on the printer, then run the driver installer so the 800 MHz processor can register the device on the network; skipping the software install leaves the printer invisible to workstations.

Which consumables will need replacement after the included toner and maintenance kit are depleted?

The four cartridges — black CE260A rated for 8500 pages and cyan CE261A, magenta CE263A, yellow CE262A each rated for 11000 pages — plus the fuser, pickup rollers, separation roller, transfer roller and pressure roller from the maintenance kit.

What limit appears first during continuous printing at the rated 35 ppm?

The 600-sheet input capacity is the first constraint; at maximum speed the tray will require refilling before any other mechanical limit is reached.
