The HP Elite c640 G3 is a 14-inch laptop running Chrome OS. An Intel Core i5-1245U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads reaches up to 4.4 GHz. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 touchscreen. Eight gigabytes of LPDDR4x-4266 memory and a 256 GB SSD are onboard.

Suited to managed fleets and mobile professionals

Buyers who need Chrome Enterprise Upgrade or Zero Touch Enrollment can add those separately. The 5 MP camera and Audio by B&O with dual AI-enhanced microphones support video collaboration. Workers who require Windows applications or local high-end gaming should look at something else.

Deciding spec: 256 GB onboard storage

The fixed 256 GB SSD sets the total capacity for apps, Linux containers and offline files. There is no expansion slot mentioned in the data. Buyers who want more storage should look at something else.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Core i5-1245U produce during all-day workloads?

The 10-core processor reaches 4.4 GHz under load; the thin 0.77 in chassis relies on a single fan that becomes audible during sustained tasks but stays quiet for typical office work.

Which peripherals and cables must I already own to use the laptop fully?

The 14.0" FHD touch display works with the included USB-C charger; external monitors, USB-A devices or wired headphones need their own cables or adapters because the spec sheet lists only USB-C and audio ports.

Will the Intel Iris Xe graphics and Wi-Fi 6E card work with my older router and legacy USB accessories?

Wi-Fi 6E falls back to Wi-Fi 6 and earlier standards automatically, and the USB-C ports accept legacy USB-A gear through a standard adapter; no special configuration is required.
