12.3" Detachable Business Tablet

The HP Elite x2 1012 G2 is a 12.3" detachable 2-in-1 running Windows 10 Pro on a 7th-Gen Intel Core i5-7300U processor. It targets mobile professionals who need a lightweight tablet with an included backlit keyboard and active pen for inking and productivity on the move.

8 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 128 GB NVMe SSD

The system ships with 8 GB of 1866 MHz LPDDR3 memory soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded later. The 128 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD handles the OS and core apps quickly, but users with large local media libraries or virtual machines will run out of space fast.

Upgrade from older detachables or basic tablets

This unit replaces aging first-gen detachables or consumer slates that lack Thunderbolt, a 3:2 high-DPI display, or vPro-grade Wi-Fi. The jump is worth it when you need pen input on a 2736 x 1824 panel and a full x86 environment in a sub-1 kg form factor.
