Ready-to-use business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14-inch laptop equipped with an Intel Core i5-6300U processor running at 2.40 GHz with a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 32GB of DDR3 memory and a new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The 14.0-inch HD display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution driven by Intel HD Graphics 520. The silver chassis has no operating system installed.

Check memory ceiling and OS plan

This unit reaches the maximum supported memory of 32 GB across two slots, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. Verify that your preferred operating system supports the hardware and that you have installation media ready, as the laptop ships without any OS. Confirm the M.2 NVMe interface matches any additional storage you may add later.

Suits office workers needing maximum RAM out

Buyers who want a business laptop with 32GB DDR3 already fitted and a fresh 240GB NVMe drive will find this configuration convenient. Users who require a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel, a discrete GPU, or an operating system pre-installed should look elsewhere. The fixed memory limit also rules out anyone planning future RAM expansion.
