Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i5-7300U throttle quickly when all cores run at 2.6 GHz for long periods?

The dual-core 2.6 GHz processor shares a compact thermal solution with Intel HD Graphics 620; sustained loads will trigger frequency scaling once the chassis heat limit is reached.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the keyboard deck feel after hours of typical office work?

Under all-day office workloads the fan spins up intermittently and the palm-rest area becomes warm but not uncomfortable.

What cables or docks must I already own to connect two external monitors using the video outputs on this unit?

One full-size DisplayPort and one VGA port are built in; you need a DisplayPort cable and a VGA cable or suitable adapters for your monitors.
