Business-ready 14 inch laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-7300U processor running at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution with LED backlighting. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

Suited for office work, not heavy graphics

This laptop suits professionals who need a reliable machine for documents, web browsing, email and video calls. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory, so buyers who want discrete graphics for 3D rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated workloads should look at something else. The non-touch screen and HD resolution also limit creative colour work.

1 TB NVMe storage with 8 GB memory headroom

The 1 TB NVMe drive provides ample space for operating system, applications and large project files without slowdown. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 handles typical multitasking across browser tabs, Office suites and video conferencing. Memory-intensive tasks such as virtual machines, large databases or heavy media editing will exceed the available RAM and the soldered configuration prevents upgrades.
