HP EliteBook 840 G4 business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz. It comes with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. The system ships with Windows 10 Home and includes a 720p webcam for video calls.

Professionals needing memory and fast storage

This configuration suits professionals who need 32 GB of memory for multitasking across office applications, browser tabs and virtual machines. The 1 TB NVMe drive provides rapid boot and load times for large project files. Buyers who require a higher-resolution display, a dedicated graphics processor or a touchscreen should consider other models. The 1366 x 768 HD panel and integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 limit colour-critical work and 3D performance.

32 GB DDR4 and 1 TB NVMe headroom

The 32 GB DDR4 capacity comfortably handles heavy multitasking, large spreadsheets and several virtual machines without paging. The 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD offers ample space for operating system, applications and active project libraries. Memory is not user-expandable beyond the installed 32 GB, and the integrated graphics share system memory, which reduces available RAM during graphics-intensive tasks.
