The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB M.2 SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed. The chassis is silver and includes a 720p webcam.

Suited to office work, not heavy graphics

This unit fits professionals who need a lightweight machine for document editing, email and video calls. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory, so it is not suitable for buyers who want dedicated graphics performance or a higher-resolution display for creative work.

1366 x 768 non-touch display

The screen resolution is 1366 x 768 with LED backlight and no touch input. If your workflow requires a sharper panel or touchscreen interaction, this specification will not meet that need.
