Business laptop with 1 TB M.2 SATA storage

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14 inch business laptop powered by a dual-core Intel Core i5-7300U processor at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB M.2 SATA SSD running Windows 10 Pro. The 1366 x 768 LED display is non-touch and includes a built-in webcam. Connectivity covers USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type C, VGA, DisplayPort and Gigabit Ethernet.

Suits mobile workers needing legacy ports

This unit fits professionals who rely on full-size VGA and DisplayPort outputs for projectors or docks, plus a USB Type C port for newer peripherals. The 1 TB drive provides generous local storage for documents and offline files. Buyers who want a higher resolution screen, a touch panel, a dedicated graphics card or a lighter ultrabook chassis should look at other models.

1366 x 768 non-touch display limits multi-window

The panel resolution is 1366 x 768 on a 14.0 inch LED backlight with no touch support. Text and spreadsheet cells appear larger but fewer fit on screen at once, which affects productivity with side-by-side windows. If your workflow demands sharper visuals or more desktop real estate, this screen specification is the deciding factor.
