Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G5 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine on the move. It combines a quad-core Intel Core i5-8350U processor running at 1.7 GHz with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for responsive everyday performance.

Integrated graphics and Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth

Visual output relies on Intel UHD Graphics 620 using shared system memory, which handles office applications and media playback but is not suited for demanding 3D workloads. The single Thunderbolt 3 port provides up to 40 Gbps of bandwidth for high-speed peripherals or external displays, while two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports cover standard accessories.

Silver chassis with essential connectivity

The silver non-touch chassis includes a 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit display, a 720p webcam, Gigabit Ethernet and Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 for wired and wireless networking. An HDMI port supports an external monitor, and the package ships with the laptop, charger and battery. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU, a touchscreen or more than one Thunderbolt 3 connection should consider other form factors.
