Professional ultraportable

The HP EliteBook 840 G7 is a 14.0" business laptop built for mobile professionals who need reliable performance in a compact chassis. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a quad-core Intel Core i7-10610U processor with 8 MB cache and a 15 W thermal design. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for fast storage access.

Connectivity and expansion

Two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 ports provide high-speed data, video output and charging through a single cable. Two additional USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and an HDMI output handle legacy peripherals and external displays without adapters. Gigabit Ethernet, Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5 cover wired and wireless networking needs. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics uses shared system memory, leaving the single SSD slot as the primary internal upgrade path.

Target user and limits

This configuration suits office workers, consultants and students who value a lightweight 14" form factor, long battery life and a comprehensive port selection for docking. Buyers who want a dedicated GPU for creative workloads or gaming should look elsewhere. The non-touch FHD panel and fixed 32 GB memory also rule out users needing pen input or larger RAM capacities. Grade B condition means visible cosmetic wear is present.
