Built for professional mobility

This HP EliteBook 840 G7 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-10610U quad-core processor with 8 MB cache. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display with LED backlight.

Suits mobile professionals needing Thunderbolt 3

The quad-core CPU, 16 GB RAM and fast 2 TB NVMe storage handle office multitasking, video calls and large local datasets. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and Wifi 6 support docking and fast wireless workflows. Buyers who need discrete graphics for CAD, rendering or gaming should look elsewhere, as the UHD solution relies on shared system memory.

Deciding specification: 2 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD

This single drive provides both the operating system volume and a very large data store in one high-speed device, removing the need for a secondary drive bay or external expansion. If your workflow demands more than 2 TB of internal capacity or a user-replaceable second slot, this chassis does not meet that requirement.

Condition and safety notices

Reproduced word for word from the maker or refurbisher: notices like these are not ours to rephrase.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" chassis accept a second M.2 drive or is the 2TB NVMe the only slot?

The laptop has a single M.2 slot occupied by the 2TB NVMe SSD, so no second drive can be added without removing the existing one.

Does Windows 11 Pro activate automatically on first boot, or is a licence key needed?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and activates automatically on first internet connection; no separate key entry is required.

Is the 16GB DDR4 memory soldered or can it be upgraded later?

The 16GB DDR4 uses two SO-DIMM slots and both are populated, so any future upgrade means replacing the existing modules.
