Business-ready 14-inch laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G7 ships new with Windows 11 Pro, an Intel Core i5 running at 1.70 GHz, 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD. It targets professionals who need a portable work machine with enough RAM for heavy multitasking and fast boot times.

Thermals and power in daily use

The 14.0-inch chassis manages heat quietly during typical office workloads such as document editing, video calls and browser-based apps. Battery life varies with screen brightness and wireless activity, while the included AC adapter keeps the system powered at a desk.

What the bundled items add

A functional battery and an AC adapter — either new third-party or used OEM — arrive in the box so the laptop is ready to run immediately. The fresh Windows 11 Pro installation removes bloatware and ensures licensing compliance from first boot. Buyers who want more storage or a discrete GPU should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the operating system on this EliteBook 840 G7?

Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and activated, so no manual OS installation is required; just complete the initial setup wizard on first boot.

What maintenance or replacement will the battery need later?

The included functional battery will degrade over time; plan to replace it when runtime drops below your needs, using an HP-compatible 840 G7 battery.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy workloads on the i5 1.70 GHz CPU?

The 1.70 GHz base clock and thermal envelope of the 14.0 inch chassis will throttle sustained performance before memory or storage become bottlenecks.
