Business ultraportable with Thunderbolt 3

The HP EliteBook 840 G7 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for professionals who need a compact Windows 11 Pro machine. It pairs a quad-core Intel Core i7-10610U processor with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display.

Thunderbolt 3 caps at 40 Gbps shared bandwidth

Two Thunderbolt 3 ports handle data, video and charging through a single connector, yet the total throughput is shared across both ports and any daisy-chained devices. Driving dual 4K displays or a high-speed RAID array can saturate the link, so bandwidth-heavy peripherals should be planned accordingly.

Replaces bulky 15 inch workstations for mobile users

The 15 W quad-core CPU and 32 GB RAM handle typical office workloads and light creative tasks that previously required a larger chassis. Buyers who need discrete graphics, more than two Thunderbolt ports or a higher-wattage processor will find this platform limiting.
