Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen laptop running Windows 11 Pro. An Intel Core i7 11th Gen processor with a minimum 2.80GHz speed and 16GB of memory supports office multitasking and video calls. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 Full HD display for everyday productivity.

Storage capacity and memory headroom

A 128 GB SSD provides the boot drive and application space; usable capacity may range from 120 GB to 128 GB. The 16GB of installed RAM occupies one of two total memory slots, leaving room for a single upgrade module. No hard drive bay or optical drive is present, so all local storage must fit on the solid-state drive.

Practical limits of the integrated graphics

Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory and suit document work, web browsing and video playback. Demanding 3D rendering, modern gaming or heavy GPU compute workloads will exceed the available graphics headroom. The 14.0 inch Full HD panel caps external display output at 1920 x 1080 unless a higher-resolution monitor is connected via the available video ports.
