HP EliteBook 840 G8 laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 laptop targets professionals who need a compact 14.0 inch device with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled. Its Core i5 11th Gen four-core processor reaches 4.2 GHz turbo frequency for everyday office workloads. Integrated graphics and a non-touch FHD 1920 x 1080 display handle documents and video calls without a discrete GPU.

Upgrade from older 8 GB dual-core ultraportables

Replacing an earlier dual-core ultraportable with 8 GB RAM and a smaller SSD yields noticeable responsiveness in multitasking and boot times. The jump is worth it when your current machine stutters with multiple browser tabs or heavy spreadsheets. Buyers who want more storage than 128 GB or a dedicated graphics card for creative work should look elsewhere.

Straightforward setup with integrated components

Windows 11 Pro arrives preinstalled so the laptop is ready after the initial out-of-box experience. The 128 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM are soldered or non-user-replaceable on this chassis, preventing later capacity upgrades. The 802.11ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth connect to existing peripherals without extra drivers.
