Built for mobile professionals

The Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 9 combines an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with 16 GB of LPDDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD in a 14.0-inch non-touch chassis. Windows 11 Pro arrives pre-installed and bloatware-free, activated by the unit's own digital licence. Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel.

Not for heavy GPU workloads or touch workflows

Buyers who need discrete graphics for rendering, CAD or modern gaming will find the integrated Iris Xe insufficient. Users who rely on touchscreen input or pen support should look elsewhere, as this model uses a standard non-touch display. The fixed 16 GB memory also rules out future RAM upgrades.

Ready-to-run software and essential I/O

The clean Windows 11 Pro install removes trialware and OEM utilities, saving setup time and storage space. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, full-size HDMI and a 720p webcam with privacy shutter. Wireless uses Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 with Bluetooth 5.1. A USB-C charger and internal battery are included.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy a USB-C dock to run two external monitors on the Thunderbolt 4 ports?

Will my older USB 3.0 flash drives work with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports?

Yes, the two full-size USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices.

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify Intel Iris Xe Graphics appears without a warning icon.
