14-inch FHD Touchscreen Ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14-inch business ultrabook with a 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 24 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB SSD. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Upgrade from dual-core or 8 GB systems

Moving from a dual-core laptop or one limited to 8 GB of memory brings a clear gain in multi-threaded throughput and headroom for concurrent workloads. The quad-core i5-8350U reaches 3.60 GHz turbo frequency, and the 24 GB DDR4 configuration removes the bottlenecks common in soldered-memory ultraportables. The jump is worth it when daily tasks involve heavy browser tabs, virtual machines or large spreadsheets.

Dock-ready port selection for desk setups

Two USB Type-C ports handle Power Delivery, DisplayPort output and data, while two USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports — one Always On — connect peripherals and charge phones offline. HDMI drives a second monitor without a dock. Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth 4.1 cover wireless basics. The compact chassis frees desk space but offers no discrete graphics, so buyers needing GPU acceleration should look elsewhere.
