Business laptop with 8-core Ryzen 7 PRO

The HP EliteBook 845 G8 ships with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U processor running at 1.90 GHz base clock and eight cores. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a two-terabyte NVMe PCIe solid-state drive provide ample space for business workloads. A 14-inch LED-backlit panel displays 1920 by 1080 full-HD resolution without touch input. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Integrated graphics share system memory

AMD Radeon graphics use shared memory rather than dedicated video RAM, keeping heat output modest during typical office tasks. The aluminium chassis meets MIL-STD durability standards while remaining light enough for daily carry. Connectivity includes two USB-C ports with 10 Gbps throughput, two USB-A ports at 5 Gbps, HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5. A 1080p webcam supports video calls without extra peripherals.

Sustained workloads stay within thermal envelope

The 8-core design maintains clock speeds during extended compiles, large spreadsheet calculations or back-to-back meetings without throttling. Shared graphics memory scales with the 16 GB pool, so memory-intensive sessions do not starve the GPU. Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or shiny keycaps are present, but all structural and functional parts are intact. No optical drive is fitted.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD and what step is often missed?

The 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD is already installed. If adding a second drive, insert it at an angle into the M.2 slot, press down, and secure with the screw; the step often missed is enabling the new drive in BIOS before Windows sees it.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16GB DDR4 memory need later?

The 16GB DDR4 memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded or replaced. Maintenance is limited to keeping vents clear so the integrated Radeon graphics and Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U stay cool under load.

What limit appears first on the AMD Radeon graphics during sustained workloads?

The AMD Radeon graphics uses shared system memory from the 16GB DDR4 pool, so VRAM exhaustion and thermal throttling of the Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U appear first during sustained heavy graphics workloads.
