Premium business laptop

The HP EliteBook 845 G8 is a 14-inch laptop built for professionals who need a durable, portable machine running Windows 11 Pro. Its aluminum chassis meets MIL-STD durability standards and includes a 1080p webcam for video calls. The integrated Radeon graphics handle everyday business workloads without a discrete GPU.

Memory and storage headroom

The 32GB of DDR4 memory provides ample headroom for heavy multitasking, large spreadsheets, and virtual machines. The 256GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD boots the OS and launches apps quickly, though capacity runs out fast with local media libraries or large project files. Users storing extensive datasets should plan for external or cloud storage.

Connectivity and display limits

Two USB-C ports support 10Gbps data, USB Power Delivery, and DisplayPort 1.4 for external monitors, while two USB-A ports run at 5Gbps. A single HDMI port adds a second display option. Wireless uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5. The non-touch 1920 x 1080 panel tops out at 1080p, so creators needing higher resolution or colour-critical work will need an external display.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.9 GHz Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U work with my existing DDR4 memory modules?

The laptop already includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory soldered or installed, so no additional modules are required or supported for expansion.

How can I verify the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel and Radeon graphics are performing correctly after first boot?

Open Windows Display Settings to confirm the native 1920 x 1080 resolution is active, then run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to verify the AMD Radeon adapter is detected and using shared system memory.

Does the box contain the 256 GB NVMe SSD and charger, or must I purchase them separately?

The package includes the laptop with the 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD already installed, the battery, and the charger — no extra parts are needed to start working.
