Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 850 G5 is a 15.6 inch FHD notebook built for office workers who need a quad-core Intel Core i5-8350U processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday productivity and video calls. Windows 11 Pro is installed on a 2TB SSD.

Simple setup with standard ports

The silver aluminium chassis includes two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port with Thunderbolt, HDMI 1.4b, Gigabit Ethernet and a docking connector. No internal assembly is required; connect the included OEM AC adapter and press the power button. Optional smart-card reader and SIM slot may not be present on every unit.

Verify screen size and memory needs

Confirm that a 15.6 inch non-touch display suits your workspace, as smaller 13.3 inch and 14 inch EliteBook models exist in the same series. The 32GB memory configuration uses two 16GB modules, leaving no free slots for expansion beyond the 64GB platform limit. Check that Windows 11 Pro meets your software licensing requirements.
